This might not be exciting to anyone reading this, but it's exciting to me. Our friends, Jared, Renee, and Evie Davis arrived last night and will be staying with us till Sunday. Jared used to live in Dunedin and went to high school with John. They now live in Greenville, SC, only about 30 minutes from our family. Jared was a groomsman in our wedding, a groomsman in Ryan "Crossman"'s wedding in August, and is a groomsman in Pic & Erika's wedding this weekend. Crossman and Pic were also in our wedding, so by the time Saturday is over, John, Pic, Crossman, and Jared will have been in 3 weddings together within a 5 month time fram. What an exciting for weddings/reunions! I am so thankful that John has great friends; they're all so easy to get along with. It's also a plus that their wives/fiances happen to be amazing girls as well. There's never a dull moment when everyone is together. Jared's daughter, Evie, is the flower girl in the wedding this weekend. She's super excited about it and asked my niece, Vivian, what it was like being the flower girl in my wedding. She needed to know what to expect. How cute is that?!
With the exception of John, who had to work at his boss' house today because his boss broke his arm/had surgery, the boys spent the day deep-sea fishing and plan to cook their catches for dinner tonight. We girls are going to Casa Tina in downtown Dunedin- woo hoo! It should be a fun night. The rehearsal is at 4:00 tomorrow, and I suppose that officially starts the wedding festivities. It's kind of bittersweet that this will be the last of 7 weddings I've been to this year. It has been such a busy and crazy and super exciting year. Part of me is ready for the calm, but I also know that this is a chapter in our lives that we'll never get back.
John and I will have about a week and a half to ourselves before Mama arrives for Thanksgiving on Tuesday, November 23. We're planning a big Thanksgiving dinner at John's mom's house, and we're excited to have Mama join us. That's about it for now.
